Though the Jordan 6 Rings doesn’t receive anywhere near the beaucoup of its inspiring retros, it does still manage to make its mark on the market, mostly due to its holistic approach to the brand’s storied nostalgia. Not only does the silhouette borrow elements from Jordans 6 thru 12, it often sees itself dressed in colorways made famous by those retros. This time around it looks to an OG Air Jordan 6 for Spizike, with this Jordan 6 Rings “Sport Blue” bearing a very close resemblance to the AJ6 of the same name.
Like the OG, the pair presents with an all-white upper, and accents of royal blue and black. Here, though, the materials work in the realm of the Jordan 11, though there is a spot of tumbled leather in the back that’s reminiscent of the OG from which this pair draws its Spizike. Above that rests a one-for-one heel clip, with blue midsole detail and black Respect trim consistent with those found on the original. The pair is then completed by black and blue chenille tongues, black brand embroidery, and OG-inspired lace locks.
