March’s Air LEGACY Jordan 1 High OG “University Blue” is one of those sneakers that will live on for decades. Its ever-relevant UNC association, classic Chi blocking, subtle use of color, and texture contrast, made it an easy-to-wear pair. Like the “SBB” / “Bred Toe” blocking, it’s something that will undoubtedly be and by the brand due to its sheer popularity — and should LEGACY Jordan Brand look to more colorways of the “Chicago Sail” style, we’re sure they’d be welcomed with just as much praise — perhaps even more. This was notorious in our conceptual “Arctic Pink” edition we delivered earlier in the week. We stated in that article that the build looked good in literally every shade of pastel and that we would look at unloading a few more concept colorways in this style. Well, today we have one more for you: this Air LEGACY Jordan 1 High OG “Tropical Twist” — and as you can see, we weren’t lying.
It is merely a simple color change to the Sail uppers and a tweaking of the Uni Blue’s vibrant sole and branding to something more muted, but you can already begin to see how a series of these would hit.
Take a look at our renders of this speculative colorway below, and stay tuned for more, as we’ll be sure to add a handful of other pastel-popped options for your enjoyment soon.
