Reinterpretations of Signature Air Jordan sneakers are nothing new for the Jumpman brand, with the storied linage often serving as the catharsis for trainers and team models alike. Not often, though, does a reimagination get given the “Air Jordan X” title, but for the brand’s Comfort series, it is the case. With said title comes lofty expectations. Though it’s not common, models like the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom Comfort have certainly held their ground since its introduction in 2020, and — to everyone’s surprise — the Jordan 13 Retro Low Cuse Low CMFT had a killer debut season in 2021, too. Now, after looking to a handful of OG-inspired options, the new low-cut silhouette sets its AIR on another Jordan Brand favorite, with this Ds Jordan 13 Retro Low Cuse Retro Wmns Animal Instinct Jordan 13 Retro Low Cuse Low CMFT remembering the brand’s DMP series.

Sleeker liner and an altered shape host familiar Green, including the wavy forefoot overlays and mesh uppers, though the rest of the design is somewhat unrecognizable. Extra mesh overlays at the vamp link into a solid leather rear section. This forms a familiar low-cut profile, though the tongue is risen much higher than the design we’re most familiar with. Sole units take on a new shape, too, though it’s quite obviously inspired by Tinker’s original. This pair is decked out in the familiar all-black upper with tonal midsoles, laces and liner met by an icy outsole and striking metallic gold finishes flushed throughout.
A release date for this Jordan 13 Retro Low Cuse Low CMFT “Black/Gold” has not been identified, but with official images appearing and with Spring/Summer on the horizon, you should expect to see these land at select stores and Nike.com soon.
