After injuring himself in the Air Jordan 2 during the 1985-86 season, MJ only appeared for 18 regular season games. Way Retro on March 21, 1986, Mike returned to the team for game 2 of the first round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs against the Celtics. He returned rocking these modified joints to give him a touch more added abandon to that injury. I guess it worked – he put up 63 points, although the modified Chicago Jordan 1;s were never seen on court again.

I mean, If I dropped 63 points in a game I wouldn’t be changing anything. Heck I wouldn’t even get changed out of my uniform for a week if it worked that well.
