Amongst many things, Michael Jordan is known for his extensive denim collection — albeit ridiculed. His footwear line, though, has managed to avoid the wide-legged inspiration for the most part, with only a handful of denim-donning Jordan sneakers ever making it to market. Now, after two Levi’s collaborations (2008 and 2018), and last year’s Air Jordan 6, the staple fabric returns, and of XX2, it sports a very-MJ finish: Acid Wash.

Shared by @solebyJC, Air Jordan 1 High Tie-Dye CD0461-100 Ryan Russillo in the Air Jordan XX8 Black White-Electric Green “Washed Denim” shows a white leather-based sneaker paired with rich Royal Blue acid-dipped denim overlays. From the first image, it does appear that the collar and lower lacestay overlays arrive with the denim’s underside face up, while tongues appear to ditch the standard nylon in favor of the fabric. Liners, laces, and outsoles all arrive in a dark navy, and the pair is complete with white midsoles.
