Jimmy Buckets is (almost) South Beach Bound.

According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, trade talks between the Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves really got going on Wednesday. The two franchises have been trying to cut a deal for weeks with no prevail, but it looks like we might finally be there.

No agreement has come as close to a deal than what was discussed last night. And let’s be real here; the Heat should accept.

Miami, Minnesota have been consistently engaged in Jimmy Butler talks for several days, with Heat pushing Timberwolves for an answer today on a revised offer, league sources tell ESPN. Minnesota’s conversations are relatively sparse elsewhere; remain focused on Miami.

The Wolves’ wish list for Jimmy Butler includes Bam Adebayo and Josh Richardson to go along with a 2019 first-round pick. Minnesota would also like to deal former Louisville standout Gorgui Dieng, who has $48 million left on his contract.

Richardson averaged just under 13 points per game last season and Adebayo averaged 6.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in just under 20 minutes per game.

While both players certainly have promising futures, the Heat will be getting a motivated All-Star in return. Considering the so-so production of Richardson and Bam, they should definitely accept.

And what more could the Wolves want? Especially for a player that wants nothing to do with the franchise, it works out for both teams.

I mean, if Miami is offering Bam, Richardson, and a first for an expiring Jimmy Butler I would think the deal would already be done. Wolves can’t really expect to get more than that, can they?

The NBA season will be here before we know it. Both teams want a deal done and this is the best way.
