LeBron James Says Kyrie Irving Trade Was the ‘Beginning of the End’ for Cleveland

​Irving requested a trade from the Cavs in the summer of 2017, a move that LeBron encouraged business not to go through with because Kyrie was still under contract for at least two more seasons.

The trade took place just minutes after LeBron held a meeting with Cavs GM Koby Altman — a disrespect that surely influenced James’ free agency decision.

We can conclude that (if Kyrie wasn’t traded) LeBron was considering staying in Cleveland for at least two more seasons.

Plus, they’d have had a definite chance to secure a few more rings together had he not headed to Bean town.

Wednesday evening will be the first time that LeBron heads to Cleveland as a Laker. We assume that he will be greeted with admiration, considering the championship he delivered to the city, and more importantly, the charity accommodate he does for the community.
