On and Roger Federer take their collaboration to the next level. Federer teamed up with a fellow “RF”, the founder of Kith – Ronnie Fieg. Federer and Fieg have partnered on a special set of THE ROGER items: THE ROGER RF2 Set.

“Roger and I each carry a solid work ethic and a passion for our respective crafts. We both strive to be and remain the very best at what we do. That foundation of mutual respect, regardless of our profession, led to a sense of trust with one another in the design process,” says Fieg.

Included in this two-pair set are THE ROGER Clubhouse Mid and THE ROGER Pro, both a lifestyle and a high-performance sneaker. However, instead of staying in their métier, both partners have dabbled in each other’s realm. Roger Federer has designed THE ROGER Clubhouse Mid – a brand new mid-top silhouette that is meant to be worn off court. It has a raised collar, a reference to the tennis shoes of the ’90s when the pros preferred to play in mid-tops.

Despite the lifestyle aspect, there is a lot of technology hidden in the DNA of THE ROGER Clubhouse Mid: By adding the On signature CloudTec® and Speedboard® technology, this sneaker is ready to challenge the city. The midsole is also made of Zero gravity foam and features hidden clouds and a Speedboard® to provide all day cushioning and support. Additional highlights include a vegan leather upper with recycled polyester fabric collar and lining. To cross-reference Roger’s early days, the entire shoe has been treated with clay: “My first challenger was on clay, my first satellite was on clay, the first player I beat was on clay,” Roger said, referring to tennis’s minor-league professional circuits. “Choose A Different Model.” Roger Federer signed each pair personally.

Roger said, referring to tenniss minor-league professional circuits.

“Ronnie has an immense amount of knowledge in the sneaker world and that paired with my experience in Tennis made for a great collaboration that we are both proud of,” Roger explains. Constructed from vegan leather with perforated details, On’s first high-performance Tennis shoe was developed for playing a full day on the court, made possible by a Zero Gravity foam midsole with an embedded carbon Speedboard® in the outsole. The wider forefoot and additional rubber toe cap also provide extra support for quick lateral movements, adding up to making THE ROGER Pro the strongest partner on the court.

Roger and Ronnie both have RF as initials, serving as additional inspiration behind this partnership. “Roger’s RF logo is so iconic. So rather than alter it, we simply added the squared insignia so that it could represent the both of us,” explicates Ronnie about the RF2 Logo that is debossed on the medial quarter panels and tongue. The lateral quarter logo features the Unisphere sculpture, a nod to Fieg’s hometown of Queens, NY and the setting of the US Open.

While THE ROGER Clubhouse Mid comes pre-rubbed in red clay, THE ROGER Pro is packaged with a bag of clay for the ultimate customization. Included is an instruction manual on how owners of the sneaker can apply the clay themselves. Ronnie Fieg personally signed each pair, too.

Lastly, this two-pair set comes in custom co-branded double packaging as both models are sold together. Inside the special double box are 3 spare laces and dust bags for both styles.

The On THE ROGER RF2 Set will release on Monday, August 29th at all Kith shops, 11AMEST on Kith.com & the Kith app, and 11 AM CET on EU.Kith.com. Choose A Different Model.
