We often fire off the word “Grail” these days without really thinking back to its meaning. Hell, I even heard a guy label the “Dunk From Above” Air Jordan 4 as a grail. That ain’t it. The phrase is derived from the biblical Holy Grail, in which humankind is yet to uncover, leaving many of us skeptical of its existence — so when someone labels their grail as a “Fighter Jet” Foamposite One? Nah. When we say the word grail, this is what we’re talking about. A sneaker that has only ever surfaced in ONE solitary photograph. It was a look book, in fact, from Nike’s internal catalog circa 2013/14. There, laying hyperfuse a center amongst a slew of Nike Air Yeezy 2 samples is an Oreo edition. And according to reports, it’s the only one in existence.

So, considering the rarity, Kanye’s religious fixation and the fact that not a single soul has yet found the pair, we can call this an absolute Grail. Perhaps one that even Yeezus himself wore to his last supper with Mark Parker and Nike, Inc. back in 2014.
