As one of the industry’s providers of speculative mock-ups for Air Jordan leaks, we’ve built quite the back-catalog of colorways that have never eventuated. Often based merely upon color listings only, we’ve managed to carve out some pretty popular mock-ups, like this Air Jordan 9 “Hyper Royal”, and the never-released Air Jordan 1 High OG “Top Three 2.0”. During that process, we often come across something spectacular by surprise. As Bob Ross would say, you don’t make mistakes, just happy little accidents — and this is one such incident. Whilst we were playing around with hues and placements for 2020’s first (very vague) reports on the Georgetown 3s, we ended up with this — the air jordan limited “Hyper Royal”

Whilst it looked great in Navy, ideas flooded in — we upped the brightness and saturation of the blue, added in pops of red for good measure, and finished the pair with a seldom-seen solid-blocked midsole. Tack on some white branding in the back, grey tongues, blue laces, and grey outsole, and voila. Sometimes you don’t even set out to make something special, and it just happens.

We’d love to see this (or something like it) hit retailers soon, and you never quite know with Jordan Brand, because nothing is ever out of the question. Take a look at our original concept below, and if you’re looking for details on confirmed air jordan limited drops, the OG “Fire Red” is set to return in 2022 — with Nike Air branding for the first time since 1988.
