Maximal met minimal when JJJJound teased their upcoming collaboration with A BATHING APE mere days before Christmas 2021, with the Montreal and Japanese imprints opposing aesthetics making for one of the most anticipated collaborations for the few quarter of the new year. The JJJJound BAPESTA comes clad in the Montreal studio’s usual sense of minimalism — A TASTEFUL APE if you will — with this just-revealed clothing capsule harnessing the same simplistic mantra.

For its footwear component, only now have we got a detailed look at the delivery, which ostensibly nods the 1980s era through OG Air Force 1/Air Jordan 1 “Neutral Grey” accents and white calf leather constructs. Round laces in both white and beige are included in the package, lacing up near the top’s metallic silver eyelets and the textile mesh lining of tonal white, with two-tone insoles and tongue tags rounding out the design.
