SBTG x Limited Etd x Asics Gel-Kayano 14 "Monsoon Patrol" Pack Coming Soon

Asics has once again underscored its prowess in the sneaker world, particularly with the resurgence of the Gel-Kayano 14 model. This sneaker has served as a prime canvas for numerous prestigious collaborations, partnering with renowned names like Kith and JJJJound, showcasing its versatility and appeal in the current footwear landscape. Building upon this tradition of collaborative success, Asics has ventured into another exciting partnership, this time with Singaporean sneaker customizer SBTG and the esteemed retailer Limited Etd, to bring forth the exclusive Monsoon Patrol Pack featuring the Gel-Kayano 14.

This collaboration, however, is not the first instance where these partners have joined forces. They previously collaborated on the Gel-Lyte III under the Monsoon Patrol theme, which was celebrated for its functional enhancements designed to withstand adverse weather conditions. Drawing inspiration from the monsoon seasons of Singapore, the home base of SBTG and Limited Etd, the Monsoon Patrol Pack introduces the Gel-Kayano 14 in two new colorways: Black and Cream. Each pair is meticulously crafted from the standard mesh and leather materials but receives a significant upgrade with a silicon coating on the lower half, offering enhanced protection against the elements. Additionally, a layer of ripstop fabric is cleverly integrated above the mesh base, bolstering the sneaker's resistance to challenging weather conditions.

Further emphasizing its readiness for any weather, the sneakers feature a ripstop pouch on the tongue, adorned with the Monsoon Patrol logo, while the lateral heel of each shoe presents detailed technical information, including the collaboration's participants and the materials used in the construction of the upper. The collaboration's unique identity is solidified through the co-branding of SBTG, Limited Etd, and Asics on the insole, offering a cohesive branded experience for the wearer. The iconic Gel-Kayano 14 midsole, presented in a tonal hue matching each pair, rounds out the design.

The SBTG x Limited Etd x Asics Gel-Kayano 14 Monsoon Patrol Pack is slated for release in 2024, available through SBTG, Limited Etd, Asics and select Asics retailers; a specified date has not yet been set.
