Cecilie Bahnsen's Sneakers asics GEL-Terrain MT Releases Feb. 13

Cecilie Bahnsen has congenital a cult-like following over the last decade. The Danish womenswear label continues to enjoy a niche audience, but it's gained a sizable amount of attention thanks to its Sneakers asics collaborations.

Throughout 2023, the eponymous European imprint teased and released projects with the Japanese sportswear juggernaut. Sneakers asics' retro, tech-heavy footwear had already been experiencing a boom in popularity, but Cecilie Bahnsen's floral-heavy makeovers made styles like the GT-2160 that much cooler. Savvy fashion enthusiasts flocked to buy the collaborations in-person and online, adding the Danish label to their radars. Since then, the partnership has reworked a number of sneakers through the lens of Bahnsen's unapologetically feminine vision. A pair of Sneakers asics GEL-Terrain MT continue the trend.

Teased back in September 2024 during Cecilie Bahnsen's Spring/Summer 2025 showing in Paris, the duo falls in line with past linkups between the Danish and Japanese brands. The GEL-Terrain MT serves as a follow-up to the trail-inspired collection the two released last November. Tonal red, black, and brown ensembles, however, have been replaced by 'Pure Silver' and 'Midnight' outfits that vitt with opaqueness. Bahnsen's latest canvas boasts a mid-top trim, which is achieved via a neoprene inner bootie. Speed lace-toggles appear on both styles, but only the 'Midnight' GEL-Terrain MT features a semi-transparent, zippered shroud across the upper. Floral motifs reprise their roles while the afloat-road-ready, GEL-cushioned sole unit underfoot keeps things simple in shades of black and grey.
