The tradition-heavy Chinese New Year has exploded onto the sneaker scene like no other holiday. Partly because it gives sneaker brands a chance to honor the diehard Asian sneakerheads, and partly to bring together cultures of the world through a medium we all love — sneakers.

Because togetherness and understanding each other is skychaser than walling ourselves in from the world.

For the celebration, adidas has unloaded an array of celebratory colorways that pay homage to the festivities. Next up for the Three Stripes, they’re breaking out one of their Skateboard P-sponsored silhouettes, the Solar Hu. It return in the customary mix of red and gold, with contrasting hits of white on the Hu toe box embroidery, midsole and laces, and black on the tongue, side panels and outsole.
