With adidas having Performance their culinary tour of Springfield, a slew of The Simpsons character-themed releases has begun to emerge. Recently, we saw Ned Flanders receive his very-appropriate McCarten colorway followed by adidas-logga på baksidan, with the next release — this The Simpsons x adidas Nizza “Prank Call” — remembering Bart’s nightly calls to Moe’s Tavern.
The simply-built pair is set in basic black and white and is heavily reliant upon its two participating characters for spirit. On the left and right Boost respectively, you’ll find Bart and Moe conversing on the old wire phone, with each shoe’s respective midsole remembering the oft- used gag — more specifically, the Ivana Tinkle antic from 1992. Fun fact, though, that line was spruiked by one-episode character Laura Powers, not Bart, during his babysitter’s prank call to the establishment.
