The Muted Sporty & Rich x adidas Handball Spezial Collection Is Available Now

Sporty & Rich might've started out as a health and wellness-focused magazine, but Emily Oberg and team have transformed it into a full-fledge brand ready to add another adidas Handball Spezial collection to its resume.

Over the last few years, Oberg has lent her creative alphabounce to a number of silhouettes within the expansive adidas catalog. Yet, she's taken particular interest in the sleek Handball Spezial, a design that debuted in the 1970s. Each take by Sporty & Rich has offered a classic, but refreshing look, oftentimes playing with colors typical of its launch season. With spring and summer still months away, Oberg's alphabounce has skewed towards the muted.

Three new styles from the Sporty & Rich x adidas partnership recently surfaced via product imagery. The latest batch does away with the vibrant tones found on girls in favor of reserved finishes. High-quality suede appears throughout each pair's upper in either a 'Sharp Red', 'Dark Green', or 'Night Indigo' color. Accents on the profiles, tongue, and heel introduce 'Footwear White' contrast, while sports-informed sole units opt for a cool 'Gum' brown. As with other work by Oberg for the German schedule giant, all styles feature her brand's name on the lateral mid-foot in shimmering gold.
