A wild Pokémon x adidas Advantage has appeared! Well — not so wild. In fact, it’s relatively tame. Even compared to the extremely minimal 8-bit Pikachu pair we previewed last week, adidas originals the simpsons 20th television krusty burger tee.

This edition from the upcoming adidas-Pokémon partnership tones things right down to almost zero, with the all-white Advantage opting for just one contrasting tone — black. It’s a strange move, considering the famed pocket monsters arrive in all shapes, sizes, and colors, many of which arrive here on printed the midsole in a coloring book-like fashion.

Just imagine how much better these would look with a full-color collage of characters on the midsole . . .

That being said, the Advantage is still ad its understated best, utilizing stitching lines and perforations for contrast on the upper, along with black branding hits on the heel, and co-branded tongue tags. Completing the design is a replication of the midsole’s outline print.

We’ve currently got word that theses will release alongside the entire capsule on January 11th, 2020 — but that’s yet to be confirmed by adidas.
