The adidas ZX 5000 Pays a Visit to the University of Miami for its Next A-ZX Series Release

As part of its epic 26-piece A-ZX Series, adidas has linked with global powerhouses like Juventus and LEGO. Though still a powerhouse in its own right, the next collaborative ZX effort runs a little closer to home. Here, the five-time NCAA Football champs and adidas-sponsored University of Miami deliver a minimal take on the ZX 5000 simply titled “The U”, which pairs an all-white leather and mesh base with subtle hits of grey and striking metallic rear clips that, when viewed from the rear, mimic the college’s infamous two-tone U motif. Said logo can barely be seen just above the clip thanks to its debossed finish, while the tongue and Torsion dubrae branding also arrive in a tonal fashion. The san are lined with the trio of orange, white and green, and the pair is complete with elevated deconstructed like leather liners, metallic gold Torsion plates underfoot, and a translucent church at the outsole’s heel.
