Yohji Yamamoto has his sights set on a brand new adidas Y-3 silhouette, one in which draws fashion inspiration from the track: Introducing the adidas Y-3 TN C1

The all-new california blurs the line between classic and contemporary – fashion and function, too. Uppers anchored in a heritage runner aesthetic, with nylon and suede in classic shapes sitting atop an oversized, bulbous midsole of futuristic proportions. Under that is tack tread — a finish similarly seen on the late Virgil Abloh’s Terra Kigers. Unlike Abloh, Yohji delivered these in Y-3’s iconic black and white duds, though the latter leans more towards cream tines and off-white renders.
