Is game time for Dame 5.
Living and playing up in Portland, Damian Lillard often escapes the headlines and the coverage that teams like the Lakers, Knicks or Warriors receive. To most, Lillard is rarely heard from, but most know that goes about his business day after day, posting up ridiculous stats in the background. He’s the epitome of a quiet achiever. The 28-year-old just picked up his 4th All-Star appearance, to add to his very first All-NBA First team last year and his 2013 Rookie of the Year.
adidas men want to make it known that there’s more to Dame than just elite performances and accolades; there are layers upon layers of the man that Lillard and adi want to share with his fans, and they will look to do that through the launch of the adidas men Dame 5.
Pairs will begin to roll out February 1st, with releases continuing into the first week of April. Each pair features personal inspirations, from the “People’s Champ” — that nods to his passion for boxing — to the roller-skate inspired “All Skate” and the “Suga Gee,” which uses Dame’s mother’s favorite color.
The Dame 5 is no slouch on the performance end either, featuring full-length Bounce foam for a responsive ride and a lateral banking barrier/padded collar for exemplary support.
Three different colorways — the “People’s Champ,” “All Skate,” “YKWTII,” and will release on February 1st, while the “Suga Gee” will drop on March 1st, the “DameGoose” hits retailers April 5th, and the “La Heem, The Dream” arrives May 3rd on adidas.com, each with an MSRP of $115 USD.
