LA’s 424 has been reimagining world streetwear. since 2015 — and they’ve one so with gusto, knee the attention of celebs like Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, The Weeknd, and Wiz Khalifa. But heir penchant for refining modern tastes isn’t just limited to clothing — Guillermo Andrade and co. are also well versed in collaborative footwear capsules. Now they’ve resumed their tenure with the Three Stirpes for a three-pack of matte-finished classics; two SC Premieres and the Pro Model.
The forefather of the Superstar, the Pro Model, arrives constructed completely in tonal cream leathers, save the bold pop of matte crimson leather on the heel. Tongue branding hits a removed to stay in-line with the collection’s minimalist ethos, and the pair comes wrapped in an extended seamless midsole cup that reaches up well over the pair’s upper. The pair comes capped off with debossed 424 motifs on the aforementioned heel panel and co-branded insoles.
Like the Pro Model, the two SC Premieres arrive in a completely tonal makeup, popped with a crimson 424-branded tog. Those arrive in suede on the tongues, with a counter-balancing debossed strike on the lateral midsole. The midfoot logo cut-out and stitching have been removed, enabling Andrade to keep a minimal aesthetic, while a low-shine tongue offsets the matte-finish uppers to complete the designs.
