Trish Eksteen, 42, has now run 78 half marathons in 78 days and is on a mission to keep going until she reaches her 100th day.
She clocked up her 75th run on Friday, beating Emily Rudrow’s previous record of 74, and shows no signs of stopping.

"I am fortunate that I have many years of running experience to draw from, so I have a very good understanding of my body and where my limits are,” she told Metro UK.
The long-term nature of this challenge has required Eksteen to pay close attention to her recovery and nutrition, to Half marathon training plan for beginners.
“The interesting thing with a challenge like this that is over such an extended period of time is that if you really look after your body you actually 'run' yourself into form, and you condition your body to handle the load and stresses placed on it day in and day out,” she said.
Eksteen is also vocal about the importance of staying connected with others on this journey, regularly crediting her loved ones for keeping her motivated during the tougher runs. She hopes that, by sharing her experience on social media, she can inspire others to face their own fears and to reach out to support services, rather than battling things alone.
