Global outdoor brand Salomon has been producing trail shoes since 1947, with the company’s headquarters based in Annecy, France – famous for its spectacular trails. As well as being a market leader when it comes to trail running, it produces various shoes, apparel and equipment for adventure sports including hiking, climbing and skiing.

We've ran in various pairs of Salomon shoes over the years, and have generally found the sizing to run slightly on the narrow size. For the likes of the Speedcross, our editors usually go half a size up from their usual running shoe size (which tends to be half a size up from their regular shoe size already). However, there isn't consistency across the entire Salomon range, with the Best wireless headphones and Sense Ride 5 being a lot roomier in the toe box.
