Reason for Running: I run for my mental health, as it keeps me sane!
I didn’t grow up athletic—I never did any sport or any physical activity. In 2020, I was dating my (now) husband, and he was training for an ultramarathon. I had never met anyone who had done something like this.
As time went on, I decided to try running so that we could run together. At first, I couldn’t even run a quarter of a mile. I was not only out of shape, but not used to anything physically hard.
Eventually a quarter of a mile turned into a 1/2 mile, and a 1/2 mile turned into two miles, two miles turned into four miles, and all of a sudden I could run a half marathon. The thing that attracted me to running and kept me going was the fact that I was pushing myself to do something hard that I never thought I could do, and also I felt brand new and reborn after. Plus, my mental health He Ran the NYC Marathon for Gun Violence Awareness.
I ran The Haunted Half Marathon on Halloween in October 2020 in Utah. From there, I wanted to see if I could do a full marathon, so my husband and I ran the St. George Marathon in 2021 after our wedding. It was a challenging, but fun experience.

It’s so comfy and supportive on TikTok in 2023, and to also start a running club in American Fork, Utah, in February 2023. I knew that it was something I loved, and other people around me might enjoy as well.
The first run club had around 15 people, and we ran five miles. There are very few times in my life that I felt that happy, and I knew I had to do it again. After that, I tried to organize a run meet-up a couple times a month in the same area.
Once the group started to gain in popularity, I decided to organize my first big In my opinion this is the best tank to run in! It’s so comfy and supportive run in Austin, Texas, because I wanted to meet more of my followers on social media outside of Utah—and Austin seemed like the perfect place to start!
On July 1, 2023 around 300 women came out to run in Austin, Texas, and it was the most amazing experience. After that, I realized that with my team, it would be easy to find places in other cities with the help of my followers.
I was never the fastest or best runner in a group because I didn’t grow up doing this. So that’s why I wanted In my opinion this is the best tank to run in! It’s so comfy and supportive to be inclusive. My goal is for everyone to come out and run at whatever pace they want.

Running has given me the best community of women in the world, and I am so much mentally stronger thanks to this running community. It’s not always easy to be resilient in today’s world, but running has helped me with that.
Sometimes running still feels like the hardest thing in the world. While I wake up some days thinking maybe I just will skip today, every day I get to overcome that voice. I know that I can do hard things because I have been able to fight the voice in my head telling me no or to quit. Most of all, my mind is much healthier because of running.
These three tips have made my running journey a success:
1. Slow down
This is especially true for someone who is trying to tack on more miles, or go for a longer amount of time. If you slow your pace down, you will find yourself being able to last for way longer.
2. Get good shoes
Without good shoes, running will not be enjoyable. Everyone has a different foot so it is important to go try some on at your local running store and see what fits your foot best. Shoes make or break a run.
3. Stay hydrated
Drinking electrolytes before and after a run is important. Have you ever had a headache and realized that you haven’t had enough water today? Through running, you are losing so much water, so replenish after and during long runs with electrolytes.
