I selected models based on their comfort, functionality, and style—and of course the big savings. Walking, as a low-impact exercise, still puts demands on your joints and muscles so it’s important to wear the right shoes for support. Even though walking shoes share similarities to running and other fitness shoes, there are certain features to consider.
A proper walking shoe will ensure you have enough support to keep you comfortable and to keep you going. A decent walking shoe starts with a supportive foundation that offers cushioning as you pound the pavement. New Balance Fresh Foam Arishi V4
Small touches like mixed materials (suede and knit) complemented by embroidered details make the Fresh Foam Arishi stand out for its stylish take on a walking shoe. This pair boasts an everyday look that takes this walking shoe from workout to daywear—or even daywear on its own. I love that its versatility and style don't come at the expense of performance.
The fabric is breathable, the midsole is lightweight, and the outsole is durable, all of which combine for a highly functional walking shoe that is discounted. Finally, the foamy and breathable texture and thick support of the sole are an added plus for performance.
With the Glycerin 20, Brooks offers a great-fitting shoe with soft cushioning. This pair manages to support while being breathable up top as you rack up the miles and/or lots of hours on your feet.
These are comfortable shoes for walking, with construction that offers a snug fit all around. The Glycerin 20s are built for function, delivering the technical specifications to take you confidently through any activity on your feet—from errands to a workout. Comfort and performance can be a tricky balance to strike, but they come together beautifully in the Glycerin 20s.
