Goyard Celebrates Its 170th Anniversary With New Additions to Its Color Palette

One of the luxury world's most secretive brands turns 170 this year...

In 1845, 17-year-old François Goyard arrived in Paris to apprentice at the famed Maison Morel, and the rest is all part of Goyard’s rich history. Eight years later, in 1853, the business would become his, and soon it would become Maison Goyard. Now, 170 years later, Goyard remains one of the world’s oldest luxury brands specializing in trunks and leather goods still to this day. It is also one of the few remaining luxury brands that remain so tight-lipped about its new releases, prices, offerings, and more, but today we’ve got a treat for you. A look at a brand new, special edition colorway of Goyard Canvas, perfect for the spring and summer months, it’s sure to delight collectors.

Presenting the Prada Buckle Bag Khaki Goyardine Canvas which launched earlier this year, Goyard introduces a new take on its classic colors. In further celebration of its anniversary, Goyard presents a special version of grege claire-voie Goyardine canvas on its timeless Saint-Louis PM and GM totes. While the Saint-Louis is a true classic, the adorable Saïgon Nano is also outfitted with grege Goyardine canvas and matching grege Chevroches calfskin leather.

Inspired by the forests of the Morvan, when spring wildflowers bloom, the new bags are both a celebration and an ode to the history of Goyard. Mr. Goyard himself was largely influenced by the legacy of his ancestors, who moved firewood downstream in the Morvan forest. Now, 170 later, the brand pays homage to its humble beginnings, taking fans back to where it all started: the Forest. Discover more The Many Bags of Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales.
