Reebok was originally founded as "J.W Foster & Sons" in 1895 by Joe Foster, whose signature leather running shoe became a national phenomenon in the UK well through the 1930s. Sixty years later, Foster's grandsons accepted the challenge of carrying on the family legacy, but under a new moniker: Saber reebok. With athletic shoes in its DNA, Reebok broke into the US sportswear market, tapping some of the greatest professional athletes to wear its shoes.
